1. Why was the development of agriculture revolutionary? Explain the transition from a

Paleolithic to a Neolithic lifestyle, including some of the social, political, and/or

Technological developments. Which of these specific social, political, or technological

Developments do you consider to be the most significant to human experience, and

why?

About 120 centuries ago, there were massive changes in the agricultural field. There was

a switch from the nomadic lifestyle of hunting and gathering to more permanent and reliable

methods of farming and settlements[ CITATION The19 \l 1033 ]. This transition triggered

societal changes that affected people's livelihoods. In addition to that, there was a growth in

civilization and cities, resulting in a growth in population globally from millions of people 100

centuries ago to billions today. Due to this development that affected people's lives, the

revolution was baptized the "Neolithic revolution."

The earliest period human beings ever lived is known as the Paleolithic period. In this

period, people led simple lives where survival was vital. Men would hunt, eat, and survive as a

way of life, whereas the woman was meant to gather and watch over the children. Often, this

period is divided into the lower, middle, and upper parts. This period is famous for its tool-

making technology.

Moreover, they also made art comprised of small sculptures made of stone and

monumental paintings. It may be that the chief innovation of this era was language. Scientists

deduce the initial language use from the certainty of humans establishing settlements, creating

tools, trading, and the social institution of hierarchy and culture.
