Human Resources Management
Assignment 4
Part A
As the new human resource manager of a multimillion-dollar service organization, you have been provided with a job description for new responsibilities.
For this assignment, please provide the following.
1.A synthesis of three (3) environmental influences that affect the organization quantifying
their impact and providing potential solutions for negative and positive influences.
There are several environmental influences that may affect an organization. These can be categorized into either external or internal environmental factors. The internal environmental
factors are those within the organization that are under the control of the organization, while external factors are not under the control of the organization. Three factors that I will discuss
here are the political factors, competition factors, and social factors.
Political factors can affect the organization by making the environment less friendly for business. There’s little the company can do regarding political factors. Companies can lobby for better laws, but ultimately, it’s up to the government. The government can make doing business This study resource

There is little businesses can do to combat this problem. The government is the only entity
that can change the laws, so the business needs to persuade the government to make changes. For
example, the business may need to create a chamber of commerce that can speak on behalf of the
entire business community. This may help influence the government and reduce the number of government policies that would affect the organization.
In any industry, there is competition. Competition is a factor that affects how a business might flow and function. Pricing is a highly important process in a business. Determining the right price is the key to the success of a business, but this is also where competition arises. If a business wants to acquire more revenue, it would need to price its products or services higher. However, if there is competitors in the industry, pricing strategy will have to change to capture the attention of prospective customers. Competition affects fluctuation (supply and demand), when one increases, the other decreases in value. If there is competition, the price of the product
or service could have either a positive or a negative impact on the business. Competition allows businesses to lower prices, im prove customer satisfaction, and improve the economy through to efficiency. For a business to stand out from the rest, it needs to have a distinct product or service which makes it different from their competitors. Lastly, if a potential business owner is planning on starting up a business, they should try to look for a market that is not yet saturated.
The social factor of a business determines whether business are failures or are successful.
Employees are influenced by the environment in which they work, which could have an impact on the productivity of the employees. The social environment can affect teamwork, job satisfaction, and customer experience. Teamwork and social environment can have a positive
