Slide 4 – Why the change is necessary and what it will accomplish  NGNs are at a fragile time in their lives when transitioning from student to professional nurse. A comprehensive NGN orientation process that includes a preceptor, classroom work, as well as simulations is imperative to ease anxieties and produce a well -rounded nurse. With a comprehensive orientation, there will be an increase in job satisfaction and decrease in workplace incivility (Clark, 2015). If there are inconsistencies from unit -to-
unit, there will be inconsistent results that can lead to poor patient care and outcomes (Pertiwi & Hariyati, 2019). Slide 5 – Type and scope of change, who the stakeholders are  The scope of this project is organization -wide. It will involve all patient -care areas that staff NGNs.  Stakeholders include: Nursing staff, providers, patients, community at large, leadership. Stakeholder involvement is imperative for the change process to go smoothly and be effective in all phas es from implementation to sustaining (Cullen & Adams, 2012). Slide 6 – Who will be on the change management team by title and role  Director of nursing from each unit to offer leadership support and provide transparency in organizational goals to foster trust in leadership and the project (Alexander & Lopez, 2018).  Clinical managers and educators from each unit to assist in identifyin g and tailoring to unit -specific needs
